Program description (Dispo-IRM)

The Consulting Company for Traffic and Railway Engineering Ltd. developed the Dispo-IRM software system in cooperation with the Institut für Verkehrswesen, Eisenbahnbau und -betrieb, and Rail Management Consultants GmbH for the rolling stock allocation of rail bound transport systems.

Dispo-IRM (Incident Recovery Manager) offers systematic solutions for the re-allocation of rolling stock after operational disruptions. The operation can be resumed as scheduled with minimum delay.

Dispo-IRM generates recommendations for the rolling stock allocation based on the scheduled timetable and the prevailing operational conditions. The proposed solutions assist the train controllers in re-establishing the normal course of operation. Priority is given to the following superordinate aims:
- Providing sufficient service quality within quick manner
- Re-establishing the normal course of operation as quick as possible
- Least possible impact on crew rosters

Dispo-IRM can also be used for the visualisation of ongoing operational conditions due to the modular structure of the software.
